MBAs Without Borders exports MBAs to developing nations to aid in projects relating to Healthcare, Agriculture, Finance, and Income-Generation. More recently MWB has also began working in projects that help combat climate change or more broadly, the Environment.
Within these sectors, MWB partners MBAs with local businesses, multinational corporations, and NGOs to foster trade with an emphasis on social development. MWB achieves this by having MBAs interact and train underdeveloped populations to better conceptualize, market, and implement their own local initiatives. This provides them the knowledge and tools to achieve a competitive advantage in a globalized marketplace, which in turn raises income and living standards.
Geographically, MWB is active in Africa, South-East Asia, South Asia, Latin America (including Mexico), and the Caribbean. Information regarding individual projects and initiatives can be found on the organization's website.
MWB is networked with 2500 MBAs and is also connected with over 400 MBA student and alumni networks worldwide. MWB uses this large network to advertise opportunities to volunteer in foreign nations.
Currently MWB has a broad array of professionals working within the organization, with highly educated and experienced members on the Board of Directors of its parent organization, CDC Development Solutions. Individual profiles of members within both boards are available on the MWB website. [2].
